The RAA has a proud history of servicing South Australia's insurance customers for over 75 years.

Originally operating on an agency basis, placing all business with Lloyds of London, the company evolved to eventually obtain its own general insurance licence in 1987. RAA Insurance then began underwriting general insurance products, with the company shareholding split between Edward Lumley and Sons SA and the RAA.

In 2002, Suncorp Metway and the RAA commenced RAA Insurance Limited as a Joint Venture Company continuing to trade under the RAA Insurance. This arrangement continued until 2010 when RAA purchased Suncorp Metway's interest in the business to become a solely RAA owned company.

RAA Insurance is now a leading South Australian general insurer providing policies to protect your motor vehicle, home and contents, valuables, pleasurecraft and caravan.

RAA Insurance aims to provide the best in products and service standards to customers. Competitively priced products include many extra benefits and our customer service is reinforced with a high level of claims satisfaction.
